Rude Britannia.

Type3 Part Series

Project elements:
Rude Britannia

Following the success of 'Comics Britannia' & ‘Picture Book’, Kiss My Pixel were commissioned to creatively direct the three part series, Rude Britannia; an informative yet provocative three-part series aiming to shed new light on the stereotypical view of British humour.
The series commemorates 300 years of bawdy, lewd and offensive British history. Narrated by Julian Rhind-Tutt, it featured graphic art from Hogarth, Gillray, Rowlandson and George Cruickshank through to contemporary cartooning of Gerald Scarf, Steve Bell and Martin Rowson.

Kiss My Pixel styled each program's timeline from the first frame to the last, compositing guest speakers into art works of that era to create unique interview environments, dynamic parallax sequences, special effects, digital rostrum, live action and archive.
